Welcome to Lubbock!

A Brief History

Lubbock County, founded in 1876, was named after Thomas Saltus Lubbock, former Texas Ranger, and brother of Francis R. Lubbock, governor of Texas during the Civil War.welcome to Lubbock

The city is located in the northwestern part of the state, a region known historically and geographically as the Llano Estacado and ecologically is part of the southern end of the Western High Plains.

Even though Lubbock is ranked as the 11th most populous city in Texas, it still maintains a small town atmosphere and West Texas charm that so many people in this area have come to enjoy.

Lubbock is also known for its award-winning wineries; top-ranked universities and healthcare facilities.  It is also the home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Buddy Holly, unique shopping, dining, and a legendary ranching and music heritage. From local wineries, to cowboy culture, there are tons of things to do as a new Lubbock local. Find an apartment in Lubbock today and find
